About Sunny Chestnut Farm

Hi, I'm Tyler, the breeder behind Sunny Chestnut Farm! As you can probably tell, I absolutely love Bernese Mountain Dogs (and puppies). Living an outdoor farm lifestyle in an environment with very cold, harsh winters, Berners are the perfect breed for me. I adore their massive size, super sweet dispositions and how each of my dogs are all so different with their own individual personalities, just like people.

In addition to breeding, I have a strong interest in canine behavior. I am a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behavior College and hold the diploma of Canine Behavior Science and Technology (CBST) through the renowned Companion Animal Sciences Institute. I am also a Certified Canine Nutritionist. My other main area of interest is canine therapy work. I have certified multiple Berners in the Sunny Chestnut Farm pack as therapy dogs and we love doing therapy work throughout the community. We especially enjoy going to events at the local high school and Appalachian State University.

I have spent many years creating excellence in Bernese Mountain Dog breeding by importing Berners from many of the top kennels in Europe, concentrating on the breed standard, health, longevity and of course looking for the sweetest and most friendly Berners. They have impressive coats, size and disposition, and I think you will find these are some of the most beautiful and sweetest dogs anywhere! Most of our puppies' families have kept in touch over the years and have become friends, something that has been a great joy to me!
