Puppy Adoption Process

Once we review your questionnaire, we connect via phone... let's get to know each other!

If we are a good match for each other, send back a signed contract and deposit, and you are now officially on the wait list! 

Expect a wait time of 6-12 months from reservation until puppies are born. Wait times may be longer when specific gender is requested.

We will notify you when pregnancy is confirmed. While we cannot guarantee a successful pregnancy, number of puppies or gender, we try to give you as much notice as possible so that you can prepare for your new addition.

There is nothing more exciting at SCF than the birth of a new litter! We will notify you after birth, provide regular updates, and LOTS of pictures on social media.

At 6-7 weeks, puppies are selected over Face Time in order of reservation. Recommendations are provided to each family based on puppy temperament, activity level and family needs/requests.

The day we've all been waiting for! At 8-9 weeks, we schedule a date for families to pick up their puppy at SCF. Each family receives one on one attention and puppy instruction from SCF and a go-home package of information and helpful items.
